Teacher Recruietment day will be held on Thursday, February 5th in the University Center on Mercer’s campus in Macon, Georgia. Please take advantage of this opportunity to interact with students and graduates from the Tift College of Education which is the largest private preparer of teachers in Georgia. It prepares students to contribute to society through sharing their knowledge, skills and character. The college offers undergraduate teacher preparation programs in The Holistic Child: Early Childhood/Special Education, and Middle Level Education. The Tift College in conjunction with The College of Liberal Arts also provides professional courses for students seeking certification in secondary teaching fields (Grades 6-12) and music education (P-12) in conjunction with the Townsend School of Music.
The Master of Education and the Specialist of Education degrees are also awarded by The Tift College of Education. Last fall, the college introduced a new Ph.D. program in Educational Leadership offering two tracks: P-12 School Leadership and Higher Education Leadership.
