Fall 2013 Drive-in Workshop - Meet Them Where They Are: Using DiSC to be an Effective Communicator

This exciting and informative workshop will teach the theory of the DiSC profile, but also demonstrate the practical applications. The workshop will offer practical tips we can put into place immediately to make us more effective and will have a positive impact on all attendees, whether college or employer, since we all must work with students and employees from a wide range of backgrounds and personalities.

Registrants will take the DiSC profile, prior to the workshop, and use it to understand our own individual style and how it affects our reaction to others. You will also learn how to recognize the individual styles in others, so that we can more effectively communicate. Remember, communication is not what we say to them, it’s what they hear.

Our speaker is Katie Stone, a Senior Vice President with Fallon Benefits Group. Katie has had a long career in Human Resources, and is a highly-sought after HR Consultant and Speaker. Katie may be familiar to you since she is active in SHRM and has been asked to speak at many SHRM chapters on a variety of topics.

We will be providing a coffee and juice during registration, allowing for networking. There will also be lunch on the grounds after the workshop.
