The GACE Professional Mentorship Program is designed to connect experienced professionals with members seeking career guidance and development. This program fosters meaningful, one-on-one relationships that promote professional growth, certification readiness, and community within the Georgia Association of Colleges and Employers (GACE).
PROGRAM GOALS
- Support mentees in achieving career goals in career services or talent development.
- Offer structured mentoring to prepare for career progression or certification exams.
- Strengthen member engagement and community within GACE.
- Share insights and professional experiences from talent acquisition, higher education, and career services.
WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Mentor Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience inTalent Acquisition orCareer Services.
- Minimum of 4 years as a GACE Member with active membership and volunteer experience on a GACE committee
- Complete the Mentor Interest Form
- Commit to meeting with assigned mentee at least quarterly
- Attend required Mentor Training session to learn expectations and best practices
- All mentor applicants will be vetted by President-Elect and GACE Board

All selected mentors and mentees must attend a training and orientation session too:
- Understand the goals and structure of the program
- Set clear expectations for communication and professionalism
- Learn best practices for mentoring relationships
Program Completion & Recognition
- All participants who fulfill program commitments will receive:

- Acknowledgment at the GACE Annual Conference
- Option to share testimonials or success stories
