Berry seeks an experienced and innovative leader who can collaborate across a wide range of campus and external constituencies to expand the reach and impact of Berry’s Career Development Network. The Career Development Network model is a relatively new strategic partnership between the CPPD and Berry’s academic leaders that provides a wide range of resources (e.g., tools, trainings, advising, etc.) to support the career / professional development of students within each of our 4 schools.

The Assistant / Associate Director of Employer Engagement will focus primarily on initiatives designed to strengthen relationships with strategic employers, raise awareness about Berry College within the marketplace, and enhance the quantity and quality of job/internship opportunities available to Berry students. In pursuit of these goals, this position will oversee Berry’s employer engagement efforts, developing partnerships with key stakeholders to implement a series of employer networking and campus recruiting events. The Assistant / Associate Director will also lead efforts to coordinate and expand Berry’s internship initiatives. Most notably, they will manage the college’s signature “Community & Industry Work Partnership” program, building strong relationships with local / strategic employers and supporting Berry students as they explore, apply to, and reflect on these internship opportunities.

To accomplish this work, the Assistant / Associate Director will supervise a team of student employees and will coordinate with the CPPD Office & Events Manager. The ideal candidate for this position will have a deep knowledge of and experience with current/future workforce trends, employer engagement tools/strategies, career development/advising methodologies, and Handshake’s career management system. Experience with Salesforce’s CRM system is ideal, but not required.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

A Master's degree in Student Personnel, Counseling, Business Administration, Psychology, Education, Human Resources, or related major is preferred, along with 3 years of career development, recruiting, or equivalent experience. Will consider candidates with a Bachelor's degree coupled with commensurate skills and experiences.
