Job Summary
Reporting to the Associate Director of Career Services, the career Development Specialist develops and implements career services for students and campus partners. Primary responsibilities are to ensure the various constituencies of the campus are engaged in professional and academic activities, to facilitate career readiness and career development.
Responsibilities

Coaches students on resume and cover letter preparation and provides guidance regarding next steps in career development planning
2 -
Conducts one-on-one career coaching appointments with
students providing consultation on career and major exploration, job search strategies, interview preparation and LinkedIn profile creation

Grades assignments in online career development course
4 -
Facilitates classroom presentations on various career development topics
5 -
Plans and coordinates events and campus outreach; works weekends and nights as needed
6 -
Serves as a liaison to each school and department communicating Career Services events, programs, and career development course

Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external constituencies
8 -
Coordinates and manages part-time job recruitment efforts including but not limited to assisting with online career management software, scheduling recruitment tables, leading part-time job fairs, and promoting job opportunities to the campus community

Represents Career Services on school-wide committees; contributes to the overall success of career development; performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
4 Year / Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college/university
2+ years' of relevant experience in customer service, workforce development, student engagement or higher education
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual - fluent in English and Spanish
Experience that has provided insight into career foundations
Familiarity with Handshake and Banner is a plus
Demonstrated record of successful collaborations with internal and external stakeholders
